If you are looking for a new quick and easy way to enjoy Brussels sprouts, look no further. These sesame sprinkled sweet dijon Brussels are so delicious and easy to prepare.
Cook Time: 25 Minutes
Makes: 3-4 Servings
Ingredients
2 pounds of fresh Brussel sprouts sliced in half
4 tbs of extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp of sesame seeds
The Sauce:
1/3 cup of dijon mustard
3-4 tbs of maple syrup (or your choice of sweetener) add more or less depending on your personal preference
1 tsp of onion powder
1/2 tsp of garlic powder
salt & pepper to taste
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 400*
Place the Brussel sprouts onto a large baking dish and add oil and place onto the middle oven rack. Cook for about 10 minutes on each side. *If you desire more tender Brussel sprouts simply cook them for an additional 5-6 minutes.
In a small bowl mix together the dijon mustard, maple syrup and seasoning and pour your desired amount onto the Brussel sprouts and toss well.
Place the Brussel sprouts back into the oven for an additional 2-3 minutes.
Remove from the oven and add sprinkle on the sesame seeds and add salt and pepper to taste.
