The Ingredients
2 cups of cooked chickpeas pat dry
1/3 cup of maple syrup 1/2 tsp of garlic powder
1/2 tsp of onion powder
1/8 tsp of cayenne pepper (use more ore less to taste)
4 tbs of extra virgin olive oil or coconut oil
sea salt to taste
Simply add the oil into a large skillet and place over medium heat. Once the oil is hot add in the chickpeas (make sure their dry. You can use a kitchen or paper towel. Raise the temperature to medium high heat and cook for about 6 minutes while stirring constantly. Next add in the garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper and maple syrup and cook while stirring constantly for an additional 5-6 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
Next you can use them any way you like. I love eating them on salads topped with coconut vinegar.
