Broccolini is a vegetable a lot like traditional broccoli but with smaller florets and slimmer and longer stems. It's great sauteéd, stir fried, steamed and roasted with garlic and Trader Joe's Italian Bomba Calabrian Chili Sauce.
There is so much to love about Broccolini. It usually comes in a bunch and doesn't require any trimming or chopping. It cooks in just minutes and feels a bit fancier than traditional broccoli in my opinion. It's the perfect side dish.
For this recipe I wanted to make something quick and easy that also was super flavorful. Right now I'm completely obsessed with Trader Joe's Italian Bomba Hot Pepper Sauce and I knew I had to incorporate it into this dish. The Italian Bomba Sauce is made with Fermented Calabrian Chili's (If you're a Food Network fanatic like myself you constantly hear Chef Bobby Flay rave about Calabrian chili's). When I tell you that this sauce is seriously addictive and may possibly rival my favorite Sriracha red chili paste in flavor. It has a nice kick but because it is fermented it has this wonderful fruity fragrant flavor that is super distinct but not the least bit overwhelming. It could honestly go and it's only $3 a jar!!!
This stuff is seriously good!
