Wild blueberries are popping up in almost every frozen food section across the country. They are super delicious, incredibly healthy and make the perfect filling for this crumble.
For some reason I always end up with an obscene amount of blueberries. I buy fresh blueberries all the time and I almost always have several frozen bags in my freezer at all times to use with smoothies. I recently started make a Metal Detox smoothie and it required wild blueberries which are typically found in the frozen food section. They are much smaller and sweeter than the conventional blueberries that you find in the pints in the produce section.
I love crumble recipes because you can use them to make variations with different fruits. Here are some different fruits you can use:
Strawberry
Apple
Peach
Pears
You can use this same exact recipe to make more versions of a fruit crumble.
Using fresh or frozen fruit:
Sometimes fresh fruit is just not an option or not what you have access to. It's perfectly fine to use frozen fruit. Just be sure to let it thaw out completely before using it
